Raymond F. Fitzmartin

Raymond F. Fitzmartin, 80 passed away peacefully at home on March 9th, 2018 with his family by his side.  Raymond was born in New Haven, CT, where he lived for many years, and is a veteran of the US Army.  He met and married his wonderful wife of 58 years, Barbara, on April 15th, 1961.  Ray was in the transportation business for many years, and relocated, along with his wife and two sons to many different parts of the country. In 1985 he decided to open his own business, All-Ways Limousine Service in Freehold, which he ran for over 20 years until retirement in 2005.  During this time Ray made many wonderful friends from his business clientele, who have remained friends all these years.  Ray was a wonderful man, and all who knew him, loved him.

The title of the TV show:  Everybody loves Raymond, this was true about Ray.  He was a great husband, father and loyal friend.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara (Brindisi) Fitzmartin; two adoring sons, Mark and his wife Tierney of West Orange, NJ, Jeff of Barnegat, NJ; two cherished grandchildren, Tara and Ryan; a sister-in-law, Sandra Witkowski of West Haven, CT, her fiancee Richard Evans, several nieces and nephews around the country, and many dear and wonderful friends.  His loss is immeasurable to all who knew and loved him. Raymond was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen Fitzmartin; brother, John Fitzmartin; two sisters, Elizabeth Maher, and Helen Fiorentino; and his nephews, Eric Witkowski and Andrew Fiorentino.

Viewing Wed., March 14th from 9 to 11 AM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass to follow 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Barnegat. Cremation private.

The family would like to pay special thanks to his nurse Cathy, and aid Mr. P from Vitas Hospice, and Eileen of Eileen's Angels,       for their outstanding compasionate care they provided to Ray.  It will never be forgotten. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
