Ralph Toro Obituary

Ralph T. Toro, 72, of Barnegat passed on January 10, 2019 at home. A 1968 graduate of St. Peter’s College, he earned his MA degree from the College of Staten Island where he formerly resided. Ralph taught Spanish for 35 years at Carteret High School in NJ, and being an avid Yankees fan, was instrumental in organizing many youth baseball leagues. He was also an accomplished boating enthusiast who loved sailing with his wife.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years, Rosemary Toro; his loving brother, Philip Toro; his loving brother-in-law, Jeffrey and wife Janet Allen and their children Jeffrey and wife Jamie, Jason and wife Celia; devoted nephew and nieces, Brandon, Brenda and Nicole; great nieces and nephew, Katelyn, Hayley and Jeffrey; his Scottish Terrier, Dixie Mae and many loving cousins, friends, neighbors and teaching associates..

Viewing Monday, January 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass offered Tuesday 11 AM at St. Mary of The Pines Church, Manahawkin. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin.
