Peter Ronga

Peter Ronga, 43, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, NY but raised throughout his childhood in Bellmore, Long Island. Peter graduated W.C. Mepham High School in 1992 and went on to an illustrious academic and college soccer career at Eastern Connecticut State University.  Friends and family was always Peter's main focus.  He was affectionately known as "Uncle Pete" to not only his niece and nephews but to all of their friends in town.  He parlayed his bigger than life personality and his reputation as the "Pied Piper" into a fulfilling career as a soccer coach and later referee.  He volunteered as a counselor for special needs children while living in Barnegat over the past few years. Peter is remembered for always being able to light up a room with his big smile and outrageous personality.

Surviving are his beloved parents Ralph and Susan Ronga, his brother Jamie and his spouse Michelle and their three children Matthew, Christopher and Leah.

Memorial Gathering Saturday May 19th from 2 to 4 PM with a Memorial Blessing at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat.
