Michael Tassitano

Michael Tassitano, 70, of Barnegat passed on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Jersey City, NJ to his late parents, Alfred and Lillian Tassitano, he is a US Navy Veteran.

Michael was a tremendous sports enthusiast with a loyalty to all of the New York teams, especially the Giants football team. Among his other interests were fishing, going to casinos and cooking for his family. He is remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who had a sensitive caring nature.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years, Cathleen Tassitano; three loving children, Rachel DeRosa, Michael and wife Jenny Tassitano, Keith Tassitano; three cherished grandchildren, Melanie DeRosa, Michael and Hailey Tassitano; his brother, Alfred Tassitano; two sisters, Janice Stewart and Annette Clark.

Viewing Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 2 to 5 PM with a Blessing Service to follow 5 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat. Private cremation to follow.
