Mercedes Bogert, 98, of Manahawkin passed on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, to her late parents, Federico and Alejandria Sanchez, she formerly resided in Paterson, NJ where she retired from the Continental Can Co.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas, she is survived by her loving daughter, Aida and husband Georvin Rivera; three cherished grandchildren, Georvin, Jr., Thomas and Ruth; five beloved great grandchildren, Jayme, D.J., Shawna, Lorenz and Gianna.

Viewing Friday, July 21, 2017 from 1 to 4 pm at Barnegat  Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Cremation private.
