Margaret “Peggy” Cecelia Campbell, 88, of Monroe, MI died Sunday, March 11, 2018. Born in Montclair, NJ to her late parents, Samuel and Margaret Bakker, she graduated from West Side High School in Newark, NJ. She married her sweetheart, Arthur B. Peggy formerly resided in Bridgewater, NJ and had worked as a book buyer for the Baker and Taylor Co., Somerville, NJ. Peggy then managed a Hallmark store for many years until she and Art bought a laundromat in Lavallette. Peggy ran the laundromat and Art repaired the machines. After retiring to Manahawkin, NJ in 1997, Peggy became a devoted parishioner and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary’s Church. In 2011 she relocated to Monroe, MI.
Peggy was always the glue bringing family and friends together, always planning fun times for all. She was the ultimate event planner even before the title was invented.
