Lawrence Fisher Makoski, "Mak", 67, of Woodbridge, NJ passed on Sunday, September 30, 2018. Born in Newark, NJ to his late parents, Anthony and Augusta Makoski, he was raised and livred in Iselin, NJ prior to moving to Woodbridge. He was a past parishioner of St. Cecelia's RC Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Lawrence graduated from St. Mary's High School in Perth Amboy, NJ.
He worked as a member of the Teamsters Union and was also employed in sales of security systems in the past. He enjoyed playing a variety of sports in school and being a member of the basketball and wrestling teams. Siblings and cousins have fond memories of fishing and crabbing with Larry at the Jersey Shore.
He was a true fan of the New York Yankees and surely will be excited to meet Billy Martin #1, his favorite player.
Larry had a beautiful smile and knew every tune and lyric to all of Sinatra's songs!
Despite his struggle in life, he was always loved by his family and friends. He will always be loved and remembered by his surviving siblings, Mary Ann Nienburg (Gordon) of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Anthony J. Makoski (Barbara) Egg Harbor Twsp., NJ, Madeline Paiva (The Late Joseph) of West Chester, PA as well as eight loving nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends.
Private Funeral Services with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ was held on Wednesday, October 3rd which would have been his late mother's 100th birthday. "The Lord works in mysterious ways".
