Jack A. Weissman

Jack Weissman 1946-2019 Barnegat, NJ - Jack Weissman, 73, died, Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at home with his family. He was born in Bronx, NY to the late Albert and Celia (Backer) Weissman. Jack was a Wall Street executive at Solomon Brothers where he played an integral part in pioneering operations of many new mortgage backed financial products. After retiring from Wall Street, Jack went on to pursue a career in Real Estate for many years.

A passion for music, Jack spent countless hours singing and playing the guitar & piano.  He would often draw a crowd when playing at family & friend gatherings and was a huge influence in his children's love for music. Body Building was another love Jack pursued for many years which he passed down to his children, always striving for that bigger bicep.  History, science, and philosophy were the subject of many a stimulating conversation with family & friends, spending countless hours pondering over questions about life and the human experience. He was a wealth of knowledge and expressed great joy in imparting that knowledge on those he loved. 
 
With a deep love for his family, Jack could always be counted on to provide support and guidance for all of life's challenges.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Irma Weissman, of 42 years, his children Laurie Brown, Kenneth Zambito, Evan Weissman, Darren Weissman and his grandchildren Michael, Steven, Alexis, Amber, Jordan, Chris, John, Sienna and Chloe. Jack is predeceased by his sisters Tilly ("Toby") and Sally.

Visitation Friday, December 6, 2019  from 9:30am to 11am, with services immediately following at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005.  Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ (1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ 07095). (www.BarnegatFH.com)
