Eugene J. Kankowski, 92, of Barnegat passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Born in Newark, NJ he is a US Army Veteran of World War II. 

Gene is survived by his four children; Denise Kankowski, Jim Kankowski, Gilbert Kankowski, and Kristine Megill; his grandchildren, Jesse Kankowski, Kara Brown, Sara DeSabato, Tom Kankowski, Andrea Kankowski, and Ethan and Evan Megill; fourteen great grandchildren; his brother, Edward Kankowski. He is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Kankowski, who passed October 1990. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at St. Mary's Church, 747 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ  on Wednesday, May 10th from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM. Entombment will follow in St. Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt, NJ.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that donations be sent to The Crozer-Keystone Hospice Residence at Taylor Hospital, 175 E. Chester Pike, Ridley Park, PA 19078.
