Carlton L. Brown, 75, of Waretown passed Saturday, August 17, 2019. Born in Camden, NJ to his late parents, Harry and Dorothy Brown, he is a veteran of the US Army. Carl was a licensed electrician and owner of Sunshine Electric in Waretown, NJ for many years. He often held down other jobs while running his business. One of which was at the Southern Ocean County Hospital in Manahawkin where he met his wife Elaine who was also employed at the hospital. A chance meeting in an elevator led to their beautiful marriage of over 30 years. They were also recognized as the 1st marriage between co-workers at the hospital.
A proud National Rifle Association member, Carl was also a devoted member of the Lacey Elks BPOE Lodge 2518 and the Lacey Moose Lodge 1907 in Forked River. His interests included being the owner and enthusiast of classic cars.
Survivng are his beloved wife Elaine (Janora) Brown; two loving daughters Jennifer Brown, Heidi and husband James Moussette; his cherished granddaughter, Lainey Moussette; his devoted brother, Harry Brown as well as loving nieces and nephews.
Viewing Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 2 to 5:30 PM with funeral services to follow 5:30 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Foundation in Carl’s name greatly appreciated. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
