Bert Deutsch

Bert Deutsch, 84, of Waretown passed on Friday, July 12, 2019. Born in Gaas, Austria to his late parents, Julius and Pauline Deutsch, he came to America at the age of 13 to join his family. A US Army Veteran of the Korean War, Bert was an avid bowler and formerly resided in Clifton, NJ for many years before moving to Waretown.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 60 years, Kathleen Deutsch; his loving son, Bert R. and wife Suzanne Deutsch; two cherished grandsons, Dylan Nicholas and Michael Günther Deutsch; his devoted sister, Tina Pasco of Brick, NJ; his devoted brother-in-law, Jim Bonpietro of Manahawkin, NJ as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Bert was predeceased by two children, Judith and Daniel Deutsch, and a grandson, Nicholas Deutsch.

Viewing Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass will be offered Thursday 11 AM at St. Mary of The Pines Church, Manahawkin, NJ. Private cremation to follow.
