Alin Slaff, 82, of Barnegat passed away on March 16, 2019 with his
loving family by his side.
Born to Charles and Anna (née Baker) Slaff in Passaic, NJ he graduated
from Passaic High School in 1954 and attended The New York School of
He and his family moved to Pompton Lakes, NJ in 1964. A dedicated
and involved father, he was a Cub Scout leader, Little League coach, co-
founder of the Pompton Lakes/Riverdale youth soccer league, and
President of the Pompton Lakes High School Band Boosters.
An EMT for 15 years and eventual President of the Pompton
Lakes/Riverdale First Aid Squad, he was passionate about his
community and using his medical knowledge to save lives and make a

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Brenda (née Lebkes) Slaff, his
daughter Suzanne Rubino and her husband Ralph of Pompton Lakes,
son Gregg and wife Nancy of Pequannock, grandchildren Lindsay
Terzian and husband Alex of Livingston, Allison Infield of Caldwell,
Gary and Andrew Slaff of Pequannock, the light of his life, his great
granddaughter Elisa Rose Terzian, and his niece Faith Prasky of
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 10:00 am with
services beginning at 11:00 am at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West
Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ 08005.
