Alice A. Harrison

Alice Harrison late of Barnegat, NJ passed away peacefully on March 26, 2018 one week shy of her 88th birthday.

Like so many remarkable women of her generation, born and raised in the Depression era of the 1930’s, sobered by living through WWII, she became the thoroughly modern woman of the 20th Century. She juggled both a career in Consumer Finance in Banking and the Ethan Allen Stores and quietly went about the business of raising and supporting a family.

She carried that example and legacy into the 21st Century.

She has been the matriarch for her three children, John 70 of Freehold, NJ, Valerie Horn 68 of Irvine, California and Nancy Bray 64 of Barnegat, NJ. She has also left a legacy for her six grandchildren all of whom will have a smile on their face when they think of her.

To date, there are six great grandchildren who will not have had the pleasure of personally knowing her. But they will KNOW of her as their lives progress. That will be to their favor.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, April 14th from 12 to 2 PM with a Blessing Service to follow 2 PM at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
