Agostino was born in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica of Reggio Calabria, Italy on August 4th 1965. There he began working at a very young age to support his family and save money for a ticket to America. He proudly worked as a fruit farmer, gardener, welder, and mechanic.
Speaking only Italian, Agostino moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1984 by himself at the age of 19 with nothing but the clothes on his back and a dream for a better life. He worked hard in multiple restaurants, proudly working his way up from nothing. In 1993, Agostino moved to Barnegat, NJ after becoming the owner of Vinnie’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria. He was a man who proved hard work does pay off.
Agostino was an avid hunter, a craftsman who could build anything simply based off of a quick thought, and an exceptional chef who could make even boiled water taste amazing. He adored his children and loved making everyone laugh. Agostino will be remembered as being hard-working, creative, kind, generous, and ambitious.
