Robert J. Rademacher

September 29, 2017

Robert J. Rademacher, 63, of Waretown, formerly of Eatontown, passed away on September 29th, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.   Born to Raymond & Mary, Robert was an exceptional athlete and an avid golfer.  Robert emulated his father's work ethic and inherited his carpentry and painting skills with an eye for perfection.  He graduated the Monmouth County Police Academy on June 24th, 1977 and retired as a police Lieutenant from the Eatontown Police Department in December of 2008 after 31 1/2 years of dedicated service.  Not only did Robert serve his community as a police officer, he was a coach and referee for the borough's recreation department mentoring children of the Eatontown community.  Robert enjoyed 39 years of marriage with his loving wife Anne, was a devoted father and hero to his sons Jason and Eric who followed in his footsteps to pursue careers in law enforcement.  During retirement, Robert fulfilled his dream living on a golf course and vacationing in Aruba.  He made many new golf friends and was nicknamed "Bobby the Flop" from his ability to hit the ball onto the green from the most difficult lies.  Robert kept his stubbornness and sense of humor until the end of his fight with cancer and his legacy will live on.

Robert is survived by his wife Anne; son Jason and his wife Anna, son Eric and many loving relatives and friends.
