Lillian Prestera, long-time resident of Captiva Island, FL has left our world March 10, 2017. She’s off to be with our Dad, Anthony, who she has been looking forward to being reunited with for years but did not want to leave us. We were so lucky to have this truly wonderful spirit as our mom / grammy.

Born in 1928 in Stafford Springs, Ct., Lillian received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Miami which is a testament to her selflessness. She met Dad in Miami. Since then, they were seldom not side-by-side.

Lillian had many accomplishments - she raised 5 children and enjoyed travelling the world with her husband and often with her children. She was an excellent artist with an avid love of painting. She loved to walk the beach and collect shells. She was always and forever intelligent, patient and gracious.

She is survived by her 2 siblings - Peter and Margaret; 5 children - Peter, Christopher, Paul, Anthony Jr. (“Chip”) and Pamela; plus 7 grandchildren and 2 devoted caregivers.

Viewing Thursday, March 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass offered Friday 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Barnegat.
