Joseph W. Burkhard, Sr., 58, of Barnegat passed Thursday, February 2, 2017 after a long illness. Born in Jersey City, NJ he worked in the trades as a skilled carpenter.

Predeceased by his father, Vincent Burkhard, he is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Burkhard; four loving children, Joseph, Michele, Jessica and Crystal Burkhard; his cherished grandchild, Shea; his mother, Anna Burkhard; three devoted sisters, Kathy Rodriguez, Patricia Penczak and Joanne Georgiana.

Cremation Private under the direction of Barnegat Funeral Home.
