Hendricus “Hank” A. Ariens, 80, of Barnegat passed February 24, 2017. Born in Wychen, Netherlands he emigrated to the US with his wife in 1963.  He formerly resided in Howell, NJ. He retired from Bellcore in Holmdel where he was a facilities director.  Hank was an avid nature lover and gardener.  He enjoyed woodworking. He designed, and constructed artistically enhanced clocks, birdhouses, lighthouses and other models.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Elisabeth Ariens, his brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and many loving nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by his many friends whom he was always ready to help.

Memorial Gathering Saturday, March 4 from 11 AM to 1 PM with a Blessing to follow 1 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat.
