Dieter Ahrlich, 67, of Barnegat on October 13, 2016. He formerly resided in Ridgefield Park, NJ for over 30 years, where he served with the Police Department and retired as Chief of Police.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gail (Knaub) Ahrlich; his loving daughter, Kristy and her husband Brendan Mascarenhas; cherished grandson, Gabriel; devoted sister, Elke Schulze.

Viewing Saturday, Oct. 15th from 9 to 10:30 AM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass to follow 11:30 AM at St. Mary of The Pines Church, Manahawkin. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, donations to The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund appreciated.
