Caroline K. Chadwick, 93, of Barnegat passed Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Barnegat Nursing Home. Born in Union City, NJ to her late parents, Arnold and Dorothy Kohler, she was one of six children. Her family moved to Manahawkin, NJ when she was 16 years old. They then moved to Barnegat and she became a graduate of Barnegat High School. She met and married John M. Chadwick and worked as a sail maker for Perrine Boat Works in Barnegat, and later was employed by the Stafford Twsp. Bd. of Ed. as cafeteria manager at Southern Regional High School, from which she retired. She was also a life member of the Wright Memorial Presbyterian Church in Barnegat and sang in the choir.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, John M. Chadwick, Sr., and her four sisters, Dorothy, Marie, Bertha and Ethel and her brother, Arno. She is survived by her loving son, John M. Chadwick, Jr. and his wife Sande and her sister-in-law, Lorna Chadwick Shinn and many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held under the direction of Barnegat Funeral Home. Donations may be made in Caroline’s name to The Wright Memorial Presbyterian Church, 332 South Main St., Barnegat, NJ 08005.
