Bette “AKA Elizabeth” Hofmann, 81, of Barnegat, NJ born in Orange, NJ and formerly of Morris Plains, Cedar Knolls and East Orange, NJ passed away peacefully on May 4, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Bette left our world with a smile on her face, love in her heart and many jokes to share. Anyone that knew Bette, knows she was genuine and never met anyone she didn’t like.

Bette left behind her husband of 59 years, Joe, a retired firefighter from East Orange, NJ; her son, Joseph T. Hofmann of New Bern, NC, his wife Christie and their children Joseph, Jr., Dana, Kenneth and Denise and 4 great grandchildren; her son, Kevin Hofmann of Cedar Knolls, NJ who predeceased Bette in 2013, his wife Patty and their children, Kevin, Jr. and Daniele and 2 great grandchildren; her daughter, Maggie Davignon of Basking Ridge, NJ her husband Joseph and their children, Samantha and Rose.

Bette was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Duane Heilman and Seymour Becker.

Visitation Sunday, May 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass offered Monday 11 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Barnegat. Cremation private.
